Truffles boost Hungary enterprises
Around 25 farms in Hungary have now started to cultivate truffles, those rare delicacies that sell for thousands of euros in London and other culinary capitals.
The new Hungarian producers will not be able to harvest the rare fungi, which grow underground near certain tree roots, for several years.
But established Hungarian producers are starting to gain recognition on the international market, which is dominated by truffles from France, Italy and Spain, MTI reported.
