Top tips from 'mompreneurs'

You may have heard the term 'mompreneur' - an Americanism for mothers who have started their own businesses. Now it seems they're helping to buck the trend that says women aren't entrepreneurs.

In fact, in the US, 46% of private businesses are owned by women, and women there are twice as likely to start their own enterprise as men are. Contrast that with the continual moans we hear in the UK that women just don't have the confidence to go it alone.

Three of these US mompreneurs have been talking to the website Entrepreneur.com about how they made it big in business.
