Whistle while you work
If you want to be happy, keep yourself busy.
Apparently work keeps people content - and if you employ staff, you can make them smile by giving them more control over what they do.
Professor Mansel Aylward, from Cardiff University, found that young unemployed men were 40 times more likely to commit suicide as their employed counterparts.
He told the Daily Mail:
"The evidence is quite compelling that being at work is good for happiness and also good for health."There are straightforward issues that work is bad for them, but in fact, they have a network of colleagues there, they feel valued and are doing something worthwhile."
