Safety - in the right language

A family firm has produced a Polish version of a health and safety course to meet the needs of the growing number of migrant workers arriving in the UK.

Barry Training Services, which has a number of branches in Wales, already employs a lawyer and a schoolteacher from Poland.

It has put together a Polish version of a course that issues a passport from the Client/Contractor National Safety Group for people working in the power generation, steel, oil, gas and chemical industries. The two-day course is a compulsory qualification for people working in these sectors.

Polish lawyer Tomasz Lis leads the classes, icWales reported.
