Mobile menaces
If you run a café or restaurant and are sick of the ring of mobile phones, you could take a leaf out of the posh London restaurants' books - and ban them altogether.
Famous London eateries, such as The Ivy, The Savoy Grill and Gordon Ramsay at 68 Royal Hospital Road, have issued a no-mobiles edict to stop them disturbing other diners.
William Sitwell of Waitrose Food Illustrated told the Daily Mail:
"When people go out to eat, they want a civilised atmosphere. They don't want to sit next to someone who is shouting down their phone."People using phones in restaurants can be just as obnoxious as people smoking."
