Yorkshire female start ups held back, says survey
A survey conducted by the FDA, the UK association for invoice finance, has revealed that lack of funding is the main reason preventing Yorkshire female entrepreneurs from starting their own businesses.
The survey, conducted at a women's access to finance roadshow in Yorkshire, also revealed that lack of time and marketing issues were causes of concern.
Kate Sharp, chief executive of the FDA, said:
"The results show that while Yorkshire women entrepreneurs are keen to start their own business, they feel lost and unsure when it comes to raising finance."
The roadshow aimed to promote awareness of different types and sources of finance available to women entrepreneurs in the region.
