As the Daily Mail reports, dog owners can have their precious pooches literally 'by their side'. The PuppyPurse has handles that allow the dog to be carried, and an adjustable strap which can be worn over the owner's shoulder.

The PuppyPurse was designed by US lawyers Hedy Grant and Suzy Sherman. Speaking about their creation, Miss Sherman said:

"PuppyPurse makes it easier to take your dog with you, whether you're shopping, fly fishing or just taking a walk and nothing gets in the way of snuggling and kissing your baby whenever you want to."

There are over 20 designs now on sale. They are available in upmarket pet accessory stores and on the Internet.
