Smokin' support
A smokehouse which produces food for some of the UK's top shops has been given a grant of more than £75,000 to expand.
Mackenzie's Yorkshire Smokehouse at Blubberhouses near Otley, is using the money from the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) to turn redundant workshops into business units that are now available for other firms to hire.
Managing director Robert Crowson said:
"We have had a lot of interest so far. We are hoping the units will be occupied by food or craft related businesses which will fit well with the smokehouse and smokehouse shop, providing an added incentive to visit the area."
