Cheesy venture
The latest venture by some Scottish cheese makers is just like sending coals to Newcastle.
Ranges made by the Orkney Cheese Company and the Scottish & Islands Cheese Company will soon be appearing in specialist cheese shops in France.
They've been rebranded by Glasgow-based Lactalis McLelland to make the most of their history and authenticity.
Andy Smith, managing director of Lactalis McLelland, told Scottish Food and Drink:
"I am delighted we have secured listings in specialist French cheese shops - the French cheese market is extremely competitive, so it just goes to show the quality of our cheeses really are of the highest standard, this will be a great endorsement for the standard and taste of this range."
