Broadband revolution
It's been a week where Internet businesses and those using e-commerce have had plenty to celebrate and the latest statistics on broadband usage are reinforcing how big a part the web plays in people's lives.
Communications regulator Ofcom says 11.1 million small businesses and households are now hooked up to broadband - and teenagers and young adults are increasingly likely to look online and turn their backs on traditional media.
Indeed, the figures show that the £1.3 billion spent on Internet advertising in 2005 was three times as much as was spent on radio advertising, The Independent reported.
