Postal changes cause confusion
The changes brought to postal charges are expected to cause confusion among both businesses and consumers today, according to the postal industry watchdog.
Spokesman Daryl Barrett said:
"It’s a big change. It's about being aware of how to save money."
However, some small businesses using the new pricing system fear that it could cost them more money, depending on how much material they post and the size of envelope used. Caroline Elsie, the managing director of CMD Personnel Consultancy, told the BBC:
"This will probably cost us an extra £120-£130 a year - just another burden for a small business".
