Most entrepreneurs came up with their business idea in their old job (41%), while around a third were in bed, according to the Shell LiveWIRE What Young Entrepreneurs Think survey.

Not all of the 16-35 year olds quizzed for the study found it plain sailing once they'd decided how they were going to change the world - almost half had difficulties finding funding for their business plans.

But that didn't put them off - 75% said they still intended to launch a business in the future.

Shell LiveWIRE supported 24,000 young entrepreneurs last year, icWales reported.
