Holiday heaven
There's some great news today for firms involved in the tourist industry - but that may be quickly cancelled out by the knock-on effect of the current terrorist alert at the UK's airports.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show a 5% rise in the number of visitors to the UK in the 12 months to the end of June.
The majority of the overseas visitors - 19.9 million - came from Western Europe. That was a rise of 4% on the previous year.
US visitor numbers also rose by 4% to 4.4 million, while 6.7 million people from the rest of the world came on holiday to the UK - an increase of 10%.
