Clash of the IT titans
Google is going head-to-head with Microsoft by launching a range of free software for businesses.
The search engine giant says it is acting to meet the demand of customers who have asked for whole packages rather than individual applications.
Google will host the software and is providing the first versions for free, although a 'paid for' version will be available later this year, the BBC reported.
It comes as Microsoft prepares to launch its new Vista operating system worldwide.
