Real ale fan Anita Garnett and her partner Paul Swann have launched the Ulverston Brewing Company, and have turned to one of the town's most famous exports - Stan Laurel - for inspiration.

Beers available include Lonesome Pine, Harvest Moon and Another Fine Mess, which are supplied to 25 regular pubs and an increasing number of beer festivals.

The couple turned their dream into reality after taking a start up course at the University of Sunderland's Brewlab.

Anita told the BBC:

"Overhearing a conversation where people are saying how much they enjoyed your beer gives me the same buzz that I used to get from giving a good haircut."
