Credit checker Experian said 100 Welsh businesses went under between April and June - a rise of more than half on the same period in 2005.

The huge failure rate is compared with the UK average of 2%. However, because there are fewer businesses in Wales, a small rise in the number of those collapsing comes across as a very high percentage, according to icWales.
