The guts of the matter
A Vietnamese catfish processor is using leftovers to produce fuel.
Agfish is making biodiesel from fish guts, after successfully powering pumps at its fish farms using catfish fat. The by-products are broken down into methane using bacteria.
Until recently, the firm threw out the leftovers but it now expects to make 10 million litres of fuel per year from them, NextBillion reported.
