The end of Windows 98
Users of Microsoft Windows 98 are being told to upgrade as soon as possible - because the software giant won't support them any more.
As of 11 July, users will no longer be able to receive security updates or telephone help with the software package. Users of Millennium Edition (ME) are also being cut off on the same date.
It's estimated 70 million computer users are effected worldwide.
Mikko Hyponnen from security firm F-Secure told the BBC:
"If you want to be safe with 98: don't go online. Or upgrade to something that is supported with security patches."
