Scots business boost
Scottish small businesses are celebrating a rise in revenue, according to new figures.
Almost half of Scotland's private firms say their turnover increased in the second quarter of the year, according to the Lloyds TSB Business Monitor.
Just 19% saw a fall in sales, while 36% said their turnover had remained level.
Professor Donald MacRae told The Scotsman:
"Both service and production businesses have exhibited robust growth."
