Traffic light food

A restaurant is hoping to pull in health-conscious punters with a 'traffic light' menu denoting fat, salt and calorie content.

Edit - an anagram of 'diet' - at Ashton under Lyne was started by self-taught chef Martyn Edwards after he was made redundant.

He's hoping to attract people who are on a diet, or who are concerned that eating out could wreck their healthy eating plans. He eventually wants to open 40 Edits across the UK in the next 15 years.

He told the Manchester Evening News:

"We are beginning to build a brand and already looking to open more restaurants."
