Small businesses may be mistaken when they say they don't do anything to harm the environment.
More than four out of ten admitted to activities like storing chemicals, fuel and oils, which could have an environmental impact.
The figures come from the latest survey of small businesses by NetRegs, a Government initiative set up to help small firms meet their environmental obligations. It's put together a questionnaire to see whether you're staying within the guidelines.
NetRegs spokesman Richard Martin said:
"Waste materials produced by your business or within your workplace are regulated by law and you are responsible for their safe and legal disposal."
