Gains from the Danes
Merseyside businesses are taking advantage of Denmark's booming economy - and its inability to keep up with demand.
The Danes are demanding more and more new buildings but the country's construction industry can't keep pace.
Now Merseyside firms are being encouraged to export their goods and services. They can get up to half of their business expenses subsidised for a market visit leaving the UK on 2 October, icLiverpool reported.
International trade adviser Rachel Davenport said:
"Denmark is an ideal starter market for all ranges of companies, even those with no experience in exporting."In the construction sector in particular, there is zero unemployment and companies are having to turn down work simply because they cannot meet demand."
