Helping hand for female entrepreneurs
Would-be female entrepreneurs in the east of England are being urged to become Enterprising Women.
The scheme aims to help women overcome barriers to starting their own businesses, such as a lack of finance and worries about childcare arrangements.
Figures show that women are only half as likely as men to start up in business.
Enterprising Women spokeswoman Bev Hurley told the Eastern Daily Press:
"We are determined to a make a real difference both to new and existing women-owned businesses, and to start transforming the way things are done."We want to inspire more women, at all levels in all sectors, in all areas; giving them the skills, support and knowledge they need to grow successful companies, create incomes and jobs, and fulfil their enormous potential."
