From little acorns...

Rural businesses are getting together for a monthly networking meeting to try to tackle the isolation many feel.

The Norfolk-based Little Acorn Network is organising the event for artists and small businesses in the north of the county.

Organiser Alice Bason says there are around 4,000 independent artists in the county who can feel "cut off" from business events in Norwich.

She told the Eastern Daily Press:

"As an artist and small business owner, I have often felt that we have to fight against rural isolation, and we need to be taken seriously if our creative endeavours are to succeed."
