Beware online scam
Businesses should beware of yet another online scam designed to get their banking details - this time supposedly from a teenage boy who has discovered the cure for AIDS.
The e-mail, from a Yahoo! address and riddled with poor spelling, purports to be from a boy who has used a 'root' to cure his HIV positive lecturer.
In fact, it is another version of the 419 scam, named after the relevant section of the Nigerian penal code, security software giant Sophos reported.
Once drawn in by the tale, the victim will be asked for personal and financial information.
