Asda takes on estate agents
Independent estate agents are facing a big new competitor in the market - Asda.
The supermarket giant is undercutting traditional estate agents by charging just 1% commission to sellers, compared to the average of 2% fees.
The service is being trialled at ten supermarkets in the north east and, if successful, it'll go nationwide.
Asda spokesman Gev Lynott told ITN:
"If you're looking to sell a pad and not pay through the nose we reckon you'll think this service is long overdue."
