03's the number for business
Businesses that use a premium rate number starting with 08 will soon be able to swap it for a cheaper alternative so it won't cost customers extra to call.
Telecoms regulator Ofcom is launching the new 03 number early next year, which will cost the same to call as a 01 or 02 landline. There'll be no change to the ordinary landline codes.
Ofcom said that the introduction of the number will mean businesses and public sector organisations can offer a UK-wide point of contact without any extra charge to their customers.
