Caran Masheder, from Middleton St George, near Darlington, Co Durham, set up The Genie cleaning company because she couldn't find a reliable cleaner for her own home.

She's astonished by how quickly the firm has grown; it's gaining a new customer, on average, every day.

She told the Northern Echo:

"It is absolutely incredible. We are getting the work in a week that I expected to get in a month."

She has just taken on a third member of staff and is expecting to employ more people later in the year.
