Tax date anger
There is fury among small firms and their support organisations over changes to the deadlines for self-assessment tax forms.
Accountants and business groups have criticised the Government's decision to bring the dates forward without carrying out a consultation.
From 2008, paper self-assessment forms will have to be submitted by the end of September, and online returns will have to be completed by the end of November. Currently, both have to be in at the end of January.
