In fact, more and more ventures are being started by entrepreneurs with little or no capital behind them.

A poll of start ups by YouGov found that 22% had launched their businesses with no capital funding. Of those that needed backing, more than half used their own savings. Just 18% turned to their bank for help.

And almost a quarter said their businesses became profitable immediately, icWales reported.
