Fewer women starting own firms
The number of women going it alone in business has fallen slightly since the turn of the century, according to new figures.
The Confederation of British Industry's (CBI) statistics point to a continuing drop in the number of female entrepreneurs - and if things continue at the same rate, there will soon be twice as many men as women starting businesses.
Recommendations to make entrepreneurship more 'female friendly' include focusing more on mentoring schemes and provision of more business education, Freelance UK reported.
