Entrepreneur's moving idea
A Welsh businessman has launched a new venture which he reckons can save house movers around £3,750 in estate agency fees.
eDomicile brings together people who want to buy, swap or rent a property, with the person moving from the more expensive house paying the difference via a solicitor.
Entrepreneur John LeMasonry came up with the idea to "cut out the middle man", and says he believes this will eventually become the accepted way of trading property.
He told icWales:
"I realise this is a challenging convention, but increased mobility of employees, particularly key workers, and people's growing familiarity with the Internet means the time has come for such a service."It will take time to build the stock of homes I am aiming for, but I had one £450,000 UK property and a more expensive Spanish villa listed within days of the site going live, by people who were simply searching the web for such a service."
