E-mail suspects arrested

Two British men and a Finnish man have been arrested over an alleged international e-mail virus plot.

They are suspected of being members of a group of spammers known as M00P, which sends out viruses via e-mail attachments.

The men were arrested in a joint operation between the Metropolitan Police's computer crime unit and colleagues in Finland.

Detective Constable Bob Burls told the BBC:

"We believe the suspects created and adapted viruses with the aim of causing massive infection by spamming."
