Contracts portal hits 7,000
More than 7,000 public sector contracts are up for grabs on a Government website aimed at making it easier for small businesses to bid for this type of work.
The Supply2gov portal contains details of lower-value (under £100,000) contracts that are currently available from central and local Government.
More than 10,000 suppliers have now registered to use the site.
Department of Trade and Industry Minister Jim Fitzpatrick said:
"This new portal is a major step forward in the Government's commitment to support small business."It ensures that, for the first time, small businesses can access thousands of Government contracts in one place."
