Why it's OK to turn the air blue
The rise of celebrity businessmen on TV, like Amstrad boss Sir Alan Sugar and chef Gordon Ramsey, appear to be making swearing at work more acceptable.
A poll by the Aziz Corporation found 36% of business owners tolerated the odd bit of strong language, while 37% didn't.
Researchers said the increase in the number of swearing bosses on TV had blurred the edges between what is acceptable and what isn't.
They found managers now tend to prefer "honest and accurate" language at work, even if that means people launching the odd tirade at their computers.
