Tips for turning a profit

Around 80% of small firms say they want to spend more time developing their businesses, but most only manage to spend a tiny proportion of their day looking at issues such as profit development and marketing.

That's the findings of Barclays, which is starting a series of seminars to tackle the problem.

'Let's Talk More Profit' and 'Let's Talk Bright Marketing' have been put together for the high street bank by so-called enterprise guru Robert Craven.

He said:

"The workshops are a brilliant opportunity to step back, think about what you are trying to do and start to make decisions which will fundamentally improve the profitability of your business."
