Rise of the 'buff pound'
Naturism has been in the headlines lately in response to the sale of one naturist holiday firm for a whopping £1.8m.
In fact, it seems that naturists have become such a lucrative consumer group that they have been awarded their own title - the 'buff pound'.
The 'buff pound' - like the 'grey' and 'pink' pounds before it - recognises the buying power of a consumer group whose demands for products and services is becoming louder than ever before.
Demand mainly lies in tourist and holiday services at the moment but, as naturism receives more recognition and debate in the media, appealing to the 'buff pound' may become a much more mainstream consideration.
