Government initiative promotes entrepreneurial spirit among students...unintentionally

Entrepreneurial spirit is thriving in the growing number of schools that have banned junk food from cafeterias and vending machines.

The BBC website reports that innovative pupils at such schools have started buying multipacks of crisps, chocolate bars, sweets and fizzy drinks to sell to fellow students on what is being dubbed the 'junk food black market'.

Furthermore, sixth formers with access to cars are arranging trips and food delivery from local fast-food outlets. It appears that the Government's ongoing healthy food initiative has been more successful at promoting the concept of entrepreneurship than that of healthy living to the future generations.
