Googling for appointments

Google has launched a new calendar service for businesses to store appointments and share schedules.

The service is tied in with its e-mail service Gmail and is part of Google's bid to offer an all-round range of web services.

Plus, it's taking on Yahoo! at its own game. The Yahoo calendar has been going since 1998; it's currently one of the most popular in the world, and indeed, takes the top spot in the US.
