Don't get taken for a ride
Using the train for business travel may not be the brightest idea, because passengers are currently "being held to ransom" by a "deeply flawed" system.
That's according to the Commons Transport Committee, which has been looking into the issue, and is now embroiled in a big row with the privatised rail companies, according to the Evening Standard.
The Committee says the companies "put the thumbscrews" on passengers who have to travel at peak times. They, in return, say they won't cut their fares - unless they receive bigger subsidies from the Government.
