Government cash for independent advisers

Independent debt advisers are to share in a pot of £45 million of Government money over the next two years.

The cash, from the Financial Inclusion Fund, is expected to create posts for 500 advisers. The Government says they're needed to help vulnerable people and those with "overwhelming" money problems.

The money, covering England and Wales, will be mainly allocated to the Citizen's Advice Bureaux, but a proportion will be available to independent advisers.
