BT broadband a mixed blessing, but here's how to shop around
With advertised download speeds of 8Mb per second now commonplace, broadband continues to get faster and cheaper.
Of course, there's a catch, and it involves contracts. Since everyone knows speeds will have doubled in a year's time and prices will have dropped, the broadband providers are keen to lock their customers in to relatively long agreements at a fixed price. Philip Lee over at the Opportunity Wales weblog points out that signing up for a new contract with BT, for example, will involve a 12-month tie-in.
But if your business is looking around for a new provider, BT have published a list of all ISPs offering broadband via BT telephone lines.
