The next Million Dollar homepage?

A 17-year-old entrepreneur from Burton-on-Trent has launched a website that he hopes will generate the same levels of success as the Million Dollar homepage - an online marketing phenomenon that we've reported on several times in recent months.

Billy Cotton's creation, Sitespin, is described as "a website randomiser where other sites can buy a piece of the action for just $1". In English, this means that you click on the 'Spin' link - very much like the Wheel of Fortune - and the randomiser randomly selects a website that has paid its $1 to be advertised on the site, and redirects you to it. Users can also click on categories that include business, shopping, music and news, and be 'spun' to a related site.

By paying more than the standard fee, website owners can improve their chances of getting selected - $2 doubles the chances, and $10 increases them tenfold. At present the top investor on the site has paid $75 - and with the Million Dollar site having now met its target, this could be the next big trend.
