More frills removed by Ryanair
Hot on the heels of Eos launching its new luxury service for air travellers in search of 'frills', budget airline Ryanair has announced plans to further cost-cut its own service. The 'no frills' airline has found a few remaining services that it reckons customers can now choose to do without, or pay extra for.
From March, customers can check in online, provided they have only hand luggage and are in possession of a valid EU passport. The airline claims costs will be cut by about 9% per flight, and to help fund this move customers will be charged for checking bags into the hold, at £2.50 per bag per flight, or £5 if they neglect to pre-pay for the perk of having luggage with them when travelling.
